A look at Florida’s 2023 transfer class

Monday marked the deadline for incoming transfers to register for spring classes at the University of Florida, which means the Florida football program’s transfer class for the spring semester is all but finalized. Though, there’s a possibility the Gators manage to add to the class before spring camp commences; quarterback Jayden Daniels, for example, transferred from Arizona State to LSU in the first week of March and was still eligible for the Tigers’ first spring camp under head coach Brian Kelly.

And Florida has certainly continued to recruit high-value targets, including former Kentucky offensive lineman Kiyaunta Goodwin.

The Gators hosted Goodwin on campus for an official visit over the weekend and it remains a possibility UF adds to its list of transfers by adding Goodwin. Goodwin’s mentor, Adrian Webber, joined Goodwin on his visit to UF, and Webber spoke highly of the visit with Swamp247’s Blake Alderman

“The coaches were incredible and the staff was incredible,” Webber told Swamp247. “What they are doing out there is definitely moving in the right direction. Facility is top notch, 100-percent top notch. The plan that they have for winning is definitely in line with what we are looking for with our kids. Kiyaunta definitely enjoyed the visit. We will be talking about it and convening real soon, and we will see what we will do.”

But multiple teams, including the Kentucky Wildcats, are also in the mix for Goodwin’s commitment.

Louisville, too, has pushed consistently for Goodwin, the 38th-ranked prospect in the 2022 247 Sports composite rankings, the sixth best offensive tackle and top ranked player from the state of Indiana.

With the end of January swiftly approaching, it’s uncertain whether or not Goodwin will enroll at his future destination in time for spring camp, and a summer enrollment isn’t out of the question.

While Goodwin’s recruitment remains up in the air, the Gators do, however, expect the team’s nine transfers to be in Gainesville for head coach Billy Napier’s second spring camp with the program. Below is a look at who Florida has already added to the fold via the transfer portal.
