TEXAS CITY, Texas — Texas City officials are warning residents about a foul odor within the city limits.
According to Texas City Emergency Management, a small release of oil by Marathon Oil is causing the smell that officials described as “currently an odor nuisance.”
Texas City fire alongside the Emergency Management Office is in the area monitoring air quality levels. As of 7 a.m. Wednesday, officials said there are no readings outside of normal levels.
Officials said they’ll continue to monitor the situation. We’ll update this story with additional information if or when we get it.
